Released on October 15, 1996, Christmas Eve and Other Stories is Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s debut—and the first chapter of the band’s famed “Christmas trilogy.” Blending rock energy with orchestral drama, it became one of the best-known modern holiday albums and earned 3× Platinum certification in 2011.
The live piano accompaniment that plays with the album was composed and performed by PianoDisc recording artist, composer, and piano virtuoso, Jarrod Radnich. Trans-Siberian Orchestra founder and producer Paul O’Neill brought Radnich in to perform with the orchestra, which was the inspiration behind this new release. Matched to the album’s cinematic sweep, Radnich’s powerful, nuanced playing brings the PianoSync experience to life, adding a strikingly personal dimension that reflects his virtuosity and makes each performance feel like a special event.
