Rihanna, Vol. 1: Diamonds

Audio Preview

Description

Ten Rihanna hits are arranged for piano on this album, turning some of pop's most beat-driven singles into something more melodic and open.

"Diamonds" anchors the collection, its slow, shimmering chorus translating naturally to the keys. "Umbrella" loses its thundering drums but keeps its famous hook, now carried by the melody alone. "We Found Love" and "Only Girl in the World" trade their dance-floor pulse for a lighter, more buoyant feel, their energy implied through touch rather than full production. "Take a Bow" offers a gentle, swaying ballad moment, its doo-wop-inflected melody sitting easily under the fingers. "Stay," originally built around a spare piano part, closes the album as its most natural fit, keeping the quiet directness that made the original stand out.

A fitting choice for a quiet evening, or anyone who wants to hear these hits with nothing standing between the melody and the ear.
